Our boardThe African Professionals Network (APNET) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2010 to promote and facilitate charitable and educational initiatives among members of the African diaspora and their allies.Mission:  APNET provides an environment for African professionals and allies to network, foster partnerships; provide resources for business and professional development; and engage with the community at large.Vision: To be the premier organization for the African diaspora experience.As an Advisory Board member, you will assist the APNET Cincinnati chapter to achieve their goals, objectives, and mission, in addition to expanding and growing the level of support and influence within the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky communities. Board term is a two-year renewable appointment.
PositionWork closely with the Board to  translate all action of the Board of Directors and its committees into written minutes.

DonationWe strive for 100% board giving, but have no strict guidelines around financial contributions.
Requirements
  • Attend meetings with the Chapter’s Board of Directors.
  • Actively serve on one board committee.
  • Connect APNET to resources requests including volunteers or donors, access to facilities, fundraising, and champion member participation
  • Support other duties and responsibilities that the Advisory Board members might deem fit – and agree on – to take upon themselves in furtherance of APNET’s goals and mission.
