Our boardBoard Mission: The Board’s central focus is around workforce development, innovation on improving workforce development programming for the millennial culture, through development, training and networking for retention of young professionals and to prepare youth for career and job placement in Cincinnati, Ohio.Board’s Purpose: Generation NOW's focus is on developing a strong Nonprofit structure to fulfill fundraising goals to develop our programming for YP's and Youth ProgrammingBoard Commitment: - 2-5 hours a month of volunteer work and hours - We hold a once a month one hour Conference Call - We need our board members to help with playing a strong advisory role for our Strategic Planning and Development Plan with stakeholders and our Nonprofit consultant team - Financial Commitment from Board of DirectorsGoals: - Develop a strong infrastructure and board strategic plan - Recruiting hard-working professionals who believe and wants to execute our mission - Build a dynamic Board of Directors and Advisory Board - Seeking committed board members - Grow to 7-10 Board of Directors, 5-7 Advisory Board Members, and 5 CommitteesBoard: - We are recruiting for Mid-Level Advisory Board and Board of Directors. Also YP's for our Jr. Board.
PositionThe board member responsible for fundraising oversees the organization’s fundraising plan and engages all board members in fundraising activities. The board member has strong community connections and networks, access and knowledge about individual, corporate and foundation resources, good people skills and an engaging personality and is comfortable talking about money and finances.
