Preparing materials for CCA by cutting, laminating, and gluing materials.
Assist in setting up for lunch, overseeing students at lunch time, and cleaning up after lunch.
Assist the staff by playing and interacting with students under the direction of a CCA employee.
Help keep our center clean. Includes cleaning classrooms, sanitizing toys, and wiping down spaces.
Student-run clubs with educational information about HIV/AIDS, SOTENI, and/or Kenya. Clubs raise money, collect clothing, and acquire medical supplies to send to Kenya’s Villages of Hope. They also help support children through SOTENI’s Sponsorship program and teach responsible behavior that prevents AIDS.
Our Professional Volunteer Program is designed for any adult interested in helping out developing countries. Past professionals have included doctors, engineers, accountants, researchers, teachers, and architects.
Interns in Kenya work primarily in rural settings and provide support to the community and its leaders. The interns also learn about the rich cultures of Kenya while sharing their own gifts, experiences, and insights. SOTENI’s goal is to enable interns to be AIDS-prevention advocates in both Kenya and their home countries.
In the Cincinnati office, assignments might include organizing special events, creating publicity materials, updating the website, writing proposals, assisting with fund-raising campaigns, refining donor lists, and completing clerical tasks.
Interns in Cincinnati work on projects that advance the strategic goals of SOTENI International while gaining experience. Projects can include fund-raising, volunteer management, grant writing, and other administrative functions.
We need many volunteers to operate our Thrift Store as it is the major source of revenue to fund all of our animal rescue efforts. Bringing in donations to price and sell in the store, running the register, sorting donations and organizing displays are our primary needs.
