Serving on the Board as an officer or at-large member or serving on committees such as the scholarship or program committee.
General correspondence, answering the hotline, and working with the press and media.
Speaking for classes, forums, panels and working at booths or information tables at events such as Pride, Youth Summit, Black Family Reunion, school events, PTA meetings.
Managing and updating the library and updating the literature supply.
Organizing special events such as bringing in a speaker or hosting a film showing. Fund-raising for scholarships and other needs.

Volunteers for special events that benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children — Cincinnati and not holding a regular ongoing volunteer status will not be required to undergo drug testing or background checks. References may be required. Depending on the nature of the event, references and/or applicable health screening may be required.
Youth volunteers must be 15 and up to 18 years of age by June 1 and have completed 9th grade. (Must have at least two non-family member references)
These volunteers assist administration staff in different offices, such as development, volunteers and marketing and communications, fiscal services, health information, plant services and receiving. Please note that we have limited positions on weekends and evenings.
