Work with the dogs (go to a Cincinnati dog shelter and spend time playing with and or walking some of the long timers being sponsored by Sheltered Paws).
Volunteering
Volunteers donate their spare time and the use of their personal vehicle to give cancer patients in their community a much-needed lift. So if you own a car, then you are already on the road to helping save lives.
Sort, price & shelve books and other materials, also send out membership mailings.
Help with set-up, neaten and replenish shelves and tables, & assist shoppers as necessary.
Your training with National Underground Railroad Freedom Center staff and adult docents will prepare them to serve as volunteers throughout the museum’s permanent exhibits and in the community.
You interact with our guests to make them feel welcome and appreciated. We like to know where are guests are from, why they’re here, and what their interested in seeing at our museum.
You can help create an excellent visitor experiences for guests through dialogue, interactive activities, and collaborative learning. Assist with K-12 tours, adult tours and exhibit interpretation for special events.
You can check guests in, answer questions, monitor the floor, work a volunteer booth, and much more.
Opportunities include office support, special events, volunteer cook, direct client support and others.
