We are looking for anyone who has done any type of interior painting before and can work independently on this simple project, using either a brush or a roller. Do just a couple of hours of painting, or many more, depending on how many classes you would like to earn.

Occasional weeding and trimming, as well as trash pick-up and tidying up is needed around the College Hill Town Hall during the Spring, Summer & Fall. General clean-up around the building is also occasionally needed in the Winter.

We occasionally need help in tidying up the office and filing items from the past season! We are are able to offer a thank you gift of some free classes!

If you can only help out occasionally we have several ways for you to help. You can assist our staff in taking the elderly on social outings, celebrate birthday parties, assist with art programs, and assist with transportation, clean-up, and set-up for taking the elderly to visit nearby nursing homes.

We need volunteers to assist us with the numerous pieces of work we do in our office. We could use the assistance of volunteers who are familiar with computers – doing data entry and filing. We also need volunteers who can answer the phone, assist with mailings.

Little Brothers–Friends of the Elderly celebrate the holidays with our elderly friends because this is when they can feel the loneliest. Being a trail runner may be the most relaxing community service work you can do. Come out as a volunteer trail runner for a day. It’s a great way to relax, meet the dogs and their people, and do a good deed all at the same time.

Student-run clubs with educational information about HIV/AIDS, SOTENI, and/or Kenya. Clubs raise money, collect clothing, and acquire medical supplies to send to Kenya’s Villages of Hope. They also help support children through SOTENI’s Sponsorship program and teach responsible behavior that prevents AIDS.
