Volunteers help us with sharing our message through public relations and social media.

Care for an animal that is not yet ready for adoption, such as young kittens and puppies, cats and dogs nursing litters, those recovering from illness or injury, or those with special needs.

Help in many ways, from planning events, fundraising and creating marketing materials, to getting supplies ready to care for the animals.

Help care for our dogs by leading them on our half-mile trail, doing training exercises, cleaning for wellness, and providing enrichment activities.

Help with cat care by brushing them, playing with them, and leading activities in the cat room.

Help wash all blankets, towels and soft toys (daily).

Help clean the shelter by sweeping and mopping the floors, scooping litter boxes, cleaning cages, washing food and water bowls as well as toys.

Help feed, play with, and give attention to our amazing cats.

Assist with keeping our parks beautiful by planting, weeding, and grooming the many open areas within the park district.

Serve a variety of tasty treats during hours of peak field usage or special events.
