| About us | Mission: Pones provides artistic opportunities for community growth by creating engaging new ways for audiences to experience dance. Vision: The Pones vision is to empower individuals to express themselves, understand one another, and better their communities through art. Pones uses dance as a catalyst for social change. Ranging from art for placemaking efforts that help people see public spaces and the people inhabiting them in different ways, to productions for social justice in collaboration with local nonprofits. Our work is experiential, collaborative, and progressive. Founded in 2008, Pones Inc. has collaborated with over 200 artists and 80 arts and service organizations. The company creates site-specific performances through a fusion of movement and dance with other art forms. Pones’ accessible and participatory performances have been seen in over 90 Greater Cincinnati locations, as well as Indianapolis, and Chicago. |
