Committee – Volunteer/Outreach

Our boardCurrently, we have eight members. We meet bi-monthly.We strive for a board that has talented parents and people interested in creative youth development. We have several members that have gone through ArtsWave's Boardway Bound.Three-year terms can be repeated twice. 
PositionWith a large parent pool, we need additional resource people outside of the organization to help manage our passionate volunteers. We would love to have someone outside of the organization help bring in new people.We have several all-hands-on-deck events including the Circus Fun Run, Extravaganza annual performance, and Circ-A-Thon.

DonationWe strive for 100% board giving, but have no strict guidelines around financial contributions.

  • To ensure MNTR’s mission and purpose
  • To set policies to ensure the success of the organization
  • To ensure adequate resources, commitment to give and get
  • To ensure effective financial and legal management.
  • To ensure strong board leadership – to make sure the board development is linked to the mission and vision of the organization
  • To avoid conflicts of interest
  • To be an advocate for the organization, to be able to speak about the organization
 
  • Assess the Board’s performance and review effectiveness in periodic retreats
We conduct two retreats a year, we just had a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access retreat.   
Additional InfoAt this time we have reduced numbers because of Covid but we do have a fundraising committee that focuses on the above events.
Our missionThrough the art of the theatrical clown and the one-ring circus, My Nose Turns Red cultivates a supportive environment that inspires youth to challenge themselves, develop essential life skills and engage audiences.
