Our board
PositionGive Back Cincinnati has several event planning committees that produce our two-dozen annual events that engage over 3,000 people. Our committees are always looking for leaders who want to plan creative and impactful events that serve our communities while providing a great volunteer experience. Our event planning committees include:
  • Hands-On: Labor intensive one-day volunteer projects including painting, building, maintenance, refurbishing, gardening, trail building, environmental clean-ups, and more.
    • Examples include:
      • Annual Back to School event where we help paint and refurbish an educational facility each January
      • Annual Don't Rock the Boat event where we cleanup a local waterway
      • Building community gardens throughout Price Hill
  • Interactive: Interactive events are one-day volunteer events we host for various population groups throughout the year to spread joy and build connections within the community.
    • Examples include
      • Valentines Day themed party for a senior living community
      • Halloween themed event for patients at Cincinnati Children's Hospital
      • Summer cookout for residents of the Anna Louise Inn women's shelter.
  • Civic Engagement: Civic Engagement events educate attendees about issues facing Greater Cincinnati and inspires them to take action.
    • Examples include
      • A public transit scavenger hunt
      • Expo style events to engage with organizations tackling issues of sustainability, food deserts, and accessibility for people with disabilities
      • Networking events for attendees to become more informed voters by directly speaking with political candidates on the ballot. Note: Give Back Cincinnati is a nonpartisan organization and we do not endorse any political candidates or parties.
  • Social: Our social events bring our vast volunteer base together to network, meet new friends, and thank them for volunteering with us.
    • Examples include:
      • CincySwap! clothing swap pop-up at the Woodward Theater
      • Annual Give Back Cincinnati holiday party
      • Guided art and game happy hours
 We also have program committees:
  • Fall Feast: The region's largest Thanksgiving dinner with more than 6000 meals annually served.  We are looking for dedicated volunteers who want to continue this amazing tradition.
  • Paint the Town: We paint as many houses as we can in a single day.  This event requires a lot of planning and coordinating.  We're always looking for passionate people who want to get involved behind the scenes to make sure painting goes according to plan.
  • Fuel Cincinnati: We help fund ideas to help them get off the ground.  We offer small grants and provide a platform for people to launch community-focused nonprofit ideas.  We need people to help us determine which ideas to fund and help with day-to-day operations.
  • Cincy YP: We connect young professionals to new friendships through social, networking, and volunteer opportunities by extending the reach of diverse organizations that serve young professionals.  We need help planning our events as well as connecting with new groups of young professionals.
