Our board

Position	Camping/Outdoor Program Committee Member Report to Council Camping/Outdoor Program Chair Help recruit and orient new members to the Outdoor Program Committee Implement the council's outdoor promotion plan Work with Commissioners and other volunteers to help units plan a year-round schedule of camping and outdoor program events Promote use of camperships Give guidance on health and safety concerns Promote youth participation in camping and outdoor programs Assist with outdoor program facilities Promote National Summertime Pack Award and National Camping Award Supervise use of off-council campsites by permits and inspections Track and attain camping and outdoor objectives Implement council camping and outdoor program Guide the Order of the Arrow to help promote camping in the council

Commitment	3 to 5 hours/month

Donation	We require a specific amount of “give or get” for all board members.

Our mission	The mission of the Dan Beard Council is to prepare the over 33,000 young people in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
