Committee Member – Fundraising

Our boardOur board is comprised four positions (Chairman / Vice Chairman / Secretary / treasurer). We also have an Advisory Board. The Board of Directors are all local leaders as is the Chairman of the Advisory Board. We also have several advisers who are not local. We meet once per month at our headquarters in Cincinnati while those members who are not local sign into Skype for Business. We have a working Board as we are a small organization. We also have officers (President / Vice President / COO / CFO) who manage most of the day-to-day operations.
PositionThe role of the Resource Committee is to manage Grants, Individuals and businesses, Product Development, In kind contributions (volunteers or tangible gifts), Sponsors, Social Media Fund Raising Campaigns, online donations including Crowdfunding and maintain relationships with current donors and build relationships with new donors.

DonationWe strive for 100% board giving, but have no strict guidelines around financial contributions.
RequirementsAll Board Members must attend the monthly meeting and agree to become members of IAN which requires the purchasing of an IAN Membership Plan. Board Members are expected to donate time to the cause.
On-boardingBoard Candidates are provided with a copy of both the Business Plan and Strategic Plan along with the outline of our Leadership Training Program. If the candidate feels that IAN will be a good fit then a brief phone conversation with the CEO and a review of the candidate's resume is scheduled. If both of us feel as though it is a good fit then a formal interview is scheduled at the National Headquarters in Cincinnati Ohio. If the meeting goes well an offer could be extended at that time.
