Position | Master Provisions' Fund Development CommitteeThe Fund Development Committee provides expertise and guidance in developing an annual comprehensive fund development plan to ensure the fiscal health and long-term sustainability of the ministry.While the committee is not responsible for implementation of initiatives, members are expected to actively participate in developing the formal strategy, in line with the overall annual goals.The committee may have duties assigned by the Board of Directors in addition to the responsibilities states below:Serve as ambassadors for MP within the community regarding needs and priorities for fiscal viability. Ensure prospect research occurs to identify how much money might be raised from different types of resources (individuals, organizations, corporations, grants, etc.). Develop an action plan about who is going to approach what source, how, and by when. Monitor and track progress of the development plan. Participate in problem solving to address lags in achievement of objectives and targets. Work alongside the Marketing/Communications Committee to maximize donor effectiveness of special events and campaigns.The Fund Development Committee meets at minimum, on a bi-monthly basis to review and address current initiatives, issues, and provide feedback to the staff, as well as, develop recommendations for submission to the Board of Directors.The committee chair is responsible for preparing and presenting updates to the Board of Directors at the quarterly meetings. |
