Position | Master Provisions' Finance/HR/Legal CommitteeThe Finance/HR/Legal Committee provides the following guidance and oversight to the organization.Finance:Review and approve staff-developed annual budget for submission to the Board. Monitor adherence to the budget. Establish long-range financial goals. Review draft audit and 990 as presented by the auditor. Review management recommendations letter (SAS112) from the auditor and ensure proper follow-up on any issues cited. Monitor compliance of financial policies.HR/Legal:Review and approve personnel policies for submission to the Board. Monitor systems and policies to ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws. Review and approve President’s salary for submission to the Board. Develop executive and key management succession planning. Review staffing structure and needs. Provide advice on legal questions.The Finance/HR/Legal Committee meets at minimum, on a quarterly basis to review and address current initiatives, issues, and provide feedback to the staff, as well as, develop recommendations for submission to the Board of Directors.The committee chair is responsible for preparing and presenting updates to the Board of Directors at the quarterly meetings. |
