Our boardOur board is a governance board with several standing committees that provide guidance and oversight to the policies, strategies and operations of the organization. The goal of the board is to ensure COVERD Greater Cincinnati has adequate resources and expertise for the organization to fulfill its mission. The Board expects that every Board Member must show good faith acceptance of board responsibilities and commitment to the Board’s excellence. The Board governs with one voice through written polices, emphasizing strategic leadership and focusing on long-term goals.
PositionCOVERD Greater Cincinnati is a local nonprofit that is looking for members to join our bipartisan Advocacy Committee! This volunteer committee supports legislation and advocacy efforts that:
  • provide easier access to diapers, period products, and other essential hygiene items.
  • advance maternal health and wellbeing for children.
  • educate about diaper need and period poverty.
The committee may host advocacy events and lobby days; meet with legislators; introduce and/or support legislation; design/write educational content; and more!

DonationWe strive for 100% board giving, but have no strict guidelines around financial contributions.
Requirements*Must attend most board meetings. *Make a personal financial commitment according to your means *Financially support at least one COVERD Greater Cincinnati event *Develop resources for COVERD Greater Cincinnati in one or more of the following ways: seek gifts in kind, recruit donors, network with other community resources. *Attend annual retreat *Participate in at least one committee *Help with warehouse distribution support at least once a year
On-boardingCandidate evaluation by governance committee prior to placement on a board committee. Serve for ~6 months and attend a board meeting prior to nomination to the board. Review and in good faith make a commitment to meet all board requirements and expectations.
Additional InfoCOVERD Greater Cincinnati operates three programs: Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank, Tidal Babe Period Bank, and Fly & Dry Basic Needs Bank. We promote dignity and health for people in need by increasing awareness of the need for, and access to, essential hygiene products. We distribute over 200,000 diapers and 30,000 period products per month to those in need through our 50 partner agencies. Learn more at coverdgc.org
Our missionSweet Cheeks Diaper Bank partners with local social service agencies to provide free diapers to low-income families while raising awareness of the basic health need for diapers. Our vision is to eliminate the existence of diaper need in our community so that ALL babies have a chance to be healthy, happy, and safe.
