Our mission is simple: To give families throughout Clermont County safety resources through outreach, trainings, and events. One of the major projects that the organization will be undertaking will be creating a free standing, child-sized, interactive Safety Village for all children, families, and community members who reside in Clermont County. Position | The Treasurer reports to the Board the ongoing financial viability and stability of the Association while monitoring the Association’s financial information. The Treasurer creates and oversees the Governance Budget (the budget of the Board). Additionally, the Treasurer is responsible for the following:

Requirements | Board members are expected to be fully informed on organizational matters, to contribute to debate on issues and to contribute to the Board’s policy deliberations. They are expected to understand and support Caution for Kids of Clermont County’s mission statement and strategic plan. Board member duties include the following:

On-boarding | Once applicant has been approved to serve on the Caution for Kids Board of Directors, board members will complete a formal board orientation and will be placed with a veteran board mentor. |

Additional Info | Board members work both individually and collectively in governing Caution for Kids of Clermont County affairs through the development, approval, and evaluation of policy and budget. As a committee member, the board member provides planning and implementation services to the Board. The board member acts on the board’s behalf in accordance only with board motions and policy guidelines and only as requested and in accordance with Board resolutions with respect to representation of the organization. This position serves a staggered term of three years; re-eligible for one additional term. Termination may occur at the end of the elected term, by resignation or pursuant to the Caution for Kids of Clermont County by-laws. A minimum of one-year experience in finance or accounting in a paid or volunteer setting. A thorough understanding of record keeping, accounting systems, and financial reporting that fit the needs of Caution for Kids of Clermont County are needed. High attention-to-detail, strong communication skills and love of numbers are a must to succeed in this role. An understanding of the effective functioning of a charitable organization, familiarity with Clermont County and working with and on behalf of children. Financial knowledge of the organization; Understanding of financial accounting for nonprofit organizations. |
