PositionWomen of Cincy Seeks TreasurerWhat are we looking for?
  • A community-minded soul with a great attitude who’s passionate about creating empathy and connections across the diverse Cincinnati community
  • A willingness to grow alongside us and build new processes as we create the foundation of Women of Cincy, the nonprofit
  • Self-starter who is able to identify weaknesses in Women of Cincy’s current operations and work alongside the board to strengthen Women of Cincy as a whole
  • Strong budgeting skills
  • Understanding of nonprofit taxes
  • Proficiency in QuickBookscom
  • Ability to learn fundraising software
  • Commitment for a two-year term with quarterly meetings
List of responsibilities:
  • Present complete and accurate reports of all finances, expenditures, and requests for funds to the board during each meeting
  • Handle all necessary financial requirements of the organization requested by federal and state governments, including taxes
  • Help manage any audits of the organization, if they occur
  • Assist Executive Director with basic bookkeeping, payroll, and budgeting
  • Attend quarterly board meetings

Additional InfoWomen of Cincy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit media platform built to create more connected, empathetic, and inclusive communities by centering the diverse voices that make up the fabric of our city.The organization works to improve the Greater Cincinnati region by promoting equitable, inclusive communities through first-person storytelling, community building, and mentorship opportunities for college students. Since 2017, the organization has shared the stories of more than 370 people, graduated 24 journalism and communication students from our residency program, and reached over 131,000 readers.Women of Cincy received 501(c)3 status in January 2020.
