Board Member – Technology

Our boardImpact 100 empowers women to dramatically improve lives by collectively funding significant grants that make a lasting impact in our community. Members join Impact 100 at $500 or $1,000 each, 100% of which is pooled together to make grants of $100,000 to local tristate nonprofit organizations.The Impact 100 Board of Directors is a working and governing board of the Impact 100 women's collective giving grantmaking network. It is through our Board of Directors that all programming, financial oversight, grant review, events, membership drives, recruiting efforts, marketing, PR, and social media are led by women ranging from 25 to 70 years old. Board terms are 3 years.
PositionThe Technology Chair is part of the Identity & Operations Cluster and develops and implements strategies to build Impact 100's reputation as a leading charitable organization in the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky community through online/digital tactics.  She keeps the Impact 100 website up to date throughout the year by updating key items (e.g. Announcing Grant Finalists; Announcing Grant Recipients; posting monthly Newsletter; Adding and deleting events)

DonationWe require a specific amount of “give or get” for all board members.
RequirementsImpact 100 Board members must be current members, or be willing to become a member at the start of their board term. Future board members meet 1:1 with our nominating chair to discuss interests and skills as well as future openings on the Board of Directors. Board of Directors are asked to attend 80% of monthly board meetings and signature events. Each Director has a specific job description from which they execute their responsibilities (the "working" part of the board) as well as their governing role.
On-boardingAll future board members "shadow" her predecessor for approximately 3 months before stepping into their role. This includes attendance at a board meeting, a Board Orientation, and meetings with her predecessor prior to beginning the role officially in January of any given calendar year.
Additional InfoManage the www.impact100.org website, including:
  • Update existing pages & carryover created forms with new information such as events, posts, grant dollar figures, current message to members.
  • Newsletter: Add president’s message, update Newsletter page, Add link to archived newsletter.
  • Troubleshoot any questions or concerns from board and members with the member page, password issues and registering for events.
  • Troubleshoot any technical issues and or concerns during the Letter of Intent and Grant Process.
  • Add basic new webpages, forms and form views as needed.
  • Oversee the site’s renewal and maintenance plan.
Other Duties
  • Technical resource, research and testing
  • Lead new technical projects (i.e. BOX, Google docs).
  • Monitor Board e-mails for potential viruses – and inform Board when not to open and email.
  • Responding to Board requests for improvements research and procure quotes for technical work needed. With approval from treasurer and president determine provider for such work. (i.e.: WordPress and Plugin updates, Form and Widget Creation and customization, Security Configuration and Monitoring)
  • Audio/visual assistance with all signature events, coordinate script & PowerPoint
