Position | RefugeeConnect is seeking a Board Member with experience in marketing and event planning. RefugeeConnect needs assistance with increasing our marketing, online social media presence, and planning our handful of major events held each year.Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of managing social media campaigns and successful events that help support our mission and values, which is to support Refugees in our local community. Specifically, we want to empower people who were forced to leave their country to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster, to thrive in life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. |

Donation | We strive for 100% board giving, but have no strict guidelines around financial contributions. |

Requirements | The Board meets every other month, but each board member is also expected to serve on a committee which typically meet in the month between Board meetings. |

On-boarding | Typically we on-board new members in January, but want to get them engaged in the process before that so they can become familiar with our organization and have a successful onboarding experience. |
