Our boardThe Forever Kings Inc. Board of Directors is the governing body for Forever Kings Inc. Board Members  service allows us to increase our visibility, ensure we are meeting our organizational goals, and provide the highest quality of programs to our members and families. In addition to this our Board Of Directors works to ensure  that we are remaining compliant to federal, state, and local requirements as a youth serving non-profit organization. Members of the Board Of Directors work closely alongside the Chief Strategy Officer in aiding in creating strategies and systems  that ensure fiscal stability and accountability,  long term impact, growth and expansion, and engage corporate and large sponsors / donors. 
PositionThis board member is responsible for overseeing  fundraising for granthe organization’s fundraising plan and engages all board members in fundraising activities. The board member has strong community connections and networks, access and knowledge about individual, corporate and foundation resources, good people skills and an engaging personality and is comfortable talking about money and finances.

Commitment1 to 3 hours/month
DonationWe require a specific amount of “give or get” for all board members.
Requirements 
  • Are passionate about seeing the lives of Boys and Young Men of Color transformed. 
 
  • Attend the annual board member orientation in August annually 
  • Attend ¾ of board meetings each year 
  • Attend 2 program sessions annually
  • Attend 1 community event annually 
  • Join and participate in one of the board sub committees. (Subcommittees are asked to meet once a month) 
  • Help to recruit the best mentors, volunteers, and staff members for Forever Kings. 
  • Give / Get  a minimum of  $750 for the organization annually. (Can be a monetary or in-kind) 
  • Assist the Chief Impact Officer / Chief Operations Officer with meeting fundraising and organizational goals for the organization. 
  • Have a GROWTH MINDSET 
  • Serve as an ambassador for Forever Kings.

Our missionForever Kings Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that exists to challenge the Social Norms, Explicit Biases and Stigmas associated with Boys and Young Men Of Color. It is our vision to cultivate a culture of brotherhood among the young men that we serve that empowers them to RE-DEFINE, RE-SHAPE, and REIMAGINE the outcomes for their lives. Not only do we want to change the way adolescent males of color see themselves, but the way society sees them. Our work to caters to young men's social-emotional and academic needs. As a trauma informed care organization we work to aide our members through becoming healed and whole!
