Board Member – Fundraising

Our boardWomen in Film Cincinnati is the local chapter of an international organization that supports women working in film, television, and digital media. We screen members' work, provide educational and training opportunities and support equality for women in all industries.
PositionWomen in Film Cincinnati is looking for a board member with fundraising or development experience, who will lead our efforts to make our non-profit more sustainable.  We have a new leadership team taking over in 2020, and the new board member will be working with the new team that includes President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary.Ideally, the new board member will be a lover of film, and have a keen interest in supporting and promoting women who work in the film, tv, and digital media industry.Women in Film is a national organization, and quite necessary.  Women are still very underrepresented in the film industry.  A group of us working in the industry in Cincinnati formed the Cincinnati chapter a few years ago.

RequirementsMost board members have at least 2 years experience in the film, television or digital industry. However our board needs to add people with special skills such as fundraising and development.
Additional InfoWe have a couple of board members who are willing to help write grants,  and the new board member who oversees Fundraising, will also oversee the board members willing to help write grants.
Our missionWomen in Film (WIF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women achieve their highest potential within the global entertainment, communications and media industries and to preserving the legacy of women within those industries.
