Board Member – Fundraising
Our board | The WCMC Board is a working Board made up of committees whose purpose is to support the after school programs which make up the core of our ministry. We have a wonderful staff that works with the children and families directly, so our main activities as Board members are in fund raising and advocacy in our spheres of influence. |

Requirements | Members are to attend the full board meetings which are every other month and are expected to serve on at least one committee which may meet more often. Our committees are:Development (fundraising) Personnel Finance Governance Grounds and MaintenanceOur hope is that everyone will participate to some extent in development opportunities for short and long term projects. In order to fully appreciate our mission and the needs of the neighborhood, we encourage members to volunteer at the Center during the week or on Saturdays, but it is not a requirement for Board membership. We also expect members to contribute financially in an amount that is meaningful to them. |

On-boarding | Our process for on boarding new members: Provide a brief bio to help the current Board members know something about you. Be recommended by a current or past Board member. Have a discussion/interview with another Board member about WCMC, the Board and how they could contribute. Support the Board Expectations document. Visit the Center at least once. |
