DonationWe strive for 100% board giving, but have no strict guidelines around financial contributions.
RequirementsBoard members attend quarterly board meetings and serve on one committee. We also require board members to donate to A Voice for the Innocent monthly but have no requirements regarding the amount.
On-boardingYou'll start with a casual phone conversation with an existing board member. During the conversation, we will explain the organization's mission and history, discuss opportunities for committee involvement, and attempt to schedule a board or committee meeting observation. After observing a meeting, we will review our board agreements and policies with you and schedule a vote to accept you to the board. Upon acceptance, a candidate undergoes a 90 day trial period in which they are given training and are assigned to a committee. Our on-boarding process is very approachable!
