Position | Envision is currently recruiting potential candidates with a passion for community and for service to fill positions available due to natural succession/rotation of Board Members reaching term limits within the next two (2) years. Board provides strategic leadership and stewardship in several areas of operations. Among current strategic initiatives are the following high priority challenges: -Brand awareness: Supporting and guiding Envision to develop a "brand identity" within the community at large. The President/CEO and Development Director have been diligently working on a comprehensive marketing plan aligned with agency culture to build awareness of Envision as a trusted provider of choice for families, community partners, funders and donors. -Growth: Supporting and guiding strategy development to identify and choose programs and services with future growth potential; assisting the organization in adjusting to and capitalizing on changing demographics, emerging needs, and market opportunities. |

Additional Info | The first step is to contact a Board Member, or any Member of the Governance Committee, by phone or by email. The Board Member will discuss your interests and, if you both agree, will then ask you to submit a personal resume or profile. Next, a member of the Governance Committee of the Board will meet with you in person. Afterwords, an additional meeting with the President/CEO, Board Chairperson and/or other Board Members will be arranged for you. Shadowing a regular Board Meeting is an option, if you prefer. Finally, your background is presented to the entire Board; your appointment is subject to a simple majority vote. Board meetings are scheduled from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, (6) times per year (every-other-month) at Envision's campus (3030 West Fork Road, Cincinnati, OH, 45211). Each Board Member also commits to participate in at least (1) Committee (Governance, Finance, Development, etc.). Committees typically meet 3-4 times per year at a site convenient to the committee members. |
