Our board

Position	The Southwest Ohio A Kid Again Advisory Board provides support in an advisory capacity to the Southwest Ohio A Kid Again Chapter staff. The primary purpose of this Advisory Board position is to help: Attract, retain and grow relationships and resources for the organization to carry out its programs and services. Develop a strategy and a plan in alignment with the national strategy to deliver programs to the community it serves, provide financial support and attract public support. Ensure adequate financial resources. Provide oversight of the chapter program delivery, fundraising events, staff, systems, space, budget and finances. Evaluate the performance of the Chapter at least annually for alignment with purpose, goals, and plans.

When	Last Wednesday of Every Other Month. 4:30 to 5:30 pm

Commitment	1 to 3 hours/month

Donation	We require a specific amount of “give or get” for all board members.

Requirements	Engage Attend a minimum of 75% of the Advisory Board meetings and relevant Committee meetings Maintain monthly communication with A Kid Again leadership Serve as a mentor for a new board member, when requested Attend at least one Adventure for the families per year Attend at least one A Kid Again approved fundraisers per year Attend annual meeting with Board Chair to discuss participation and commitment to the Board. Give, Cultivate & Raise Introduce at least two new gift prospects or new sponsors on an annual basis, either corporate, individual or sources of grants to the CEO, Executive Director or Development Director. Assist with cultivation of prospects or donors with staff leadership on an annual basis by bringing him or her to an adventure, hosting or attending lunches, dinners, or visits. Steward Inspire individuals and families, influence businesses and government agencies and advocate with officials to support A Kid Again. Steward donors with thank you calls, thank you notes and, when asked, acceptance of checks.

On-boarding	All incoming Advisory Board members are requested to attend a Board Orientation. Time and date to be provided to be mutually agreed upon by A Kid Again staff and board leadership.
