Board Member

Our boardThe Camp Ernst board is an advisory board within the corporate board of the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati. Our members are passionate about youth development and the life changing experiences that happen when you get kids unplugged, outdoors together. The primary goal is to support the camp in fundraising, events, and promotion, as well as policy-making.
PositionThe YMCA Camp Ernst board is an advisory board. Members partner with the Executive Director to facilitate growth and capacity, as well as mission advancement at camp.

Commitment3 to 5 hours/month
DonationWe strive for 100% board giving, but have no strict guidelines around financial contributions.
RequirementsBoard members attend six meetings per year (three morning, three evening) plus a handful of events including YMCA of Greater Cincinnati events, camp open houses, Sunday check-ins at summer camp, etc.
On-boardingInterested candidates should schedule a time to meet with the Executive Director and current board chair or committee member.
Additional InfoIn the 2020-2021 year, special attention will be paid to addressing the unique needs of our traditional summer camp property within the context of COVID-19, as well as how we might need to pivot to better-serve the needs of the community in years to come. We are especially interested in meeting candidates with experience in real estate, property management, inclusion, and natural resource management.
