Position | As a volunteer member of the Board of Directors, you are responsible for the effective and efficient operations of CILO. All members are expected to be active working members of the Board and attend bi-monthly board meetings. Both email and phone will be used for regular communication between Board members, as well as with the Executive Director.As a CILO Board Member, you will:-be familiar with the Independent Living Philosophy-know the organization’s mission, policies, programs, and needs-read and understand the organization’s financial statements-serve as an active advocate and ambassador for the organization and fully engage in identifying resources and partnerships necessary for the organization to advance its mission-help identify personal connections that can benefit the organization’s fundraising and reputational standing, and can influence public policyBoard Members will read/sign a Confidentiality Policy and the Conflict of Interest Policy. |
