Although the Q-Kidz Dance has been in existence for more than 35 years, it is just now starting to function as a 501(c)(3) organization. The Q-Kidz were featured in the award-winning, independent movie The Fits. ALL the young people in this movie are Q-Kidz, their brothers, or cousins. Here is a link to the advertising trailer for the movie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfHnykLOjH4. More information about The Fits is at www.imdb.com/title/tt4238858/awards?ref_=tt_awd and the movie itself is available from Amazon.A YouTube search on “Q-Kidz Dance Team” brings up many videos of Q-Kidz performances. In the following video, just past the 30-second mark two Kidz bring out a table, then one of the dancers walks into the picture from the back with a duffle bag over her shoulder; keep your eye on the bag. And FYI, the Kidz bought home the Grand Championship trophy awarded at this competition: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YopDBT3gKqc.
Our missionFirst, they teach them how to dance, but more than that, they instill values about the importance of a good education, living drug free and stopping the violence in their community.
