Our boardFamiliesFORWARD is a board comprised of approximately 12 individuals who serve without compensation. We meet approximately 7 times per year for oversight and governance purposes. We were one of the 12 charter organizations which formed the Community Chest in 1915 which is the modern day United Way of Greater Cincinnati. The mission of our organization is to engage families and students in Cincinnati Public Schools as a co-located partner agency to ensure that families thrive and children reach their full potential by grade level promotion and four graduation rates. We provide a continuum of services and enrichments to ensure school success. Annually, we serve approximately 2,000 students in 4 CPS Schools. We seek to expand the diversity of our board. Our clients are predominately economically disadvantaged and are predominantly African American. Our staff is majority African American. We have a strategic plan which needs to be updated. It is 5 years old. We are challenged like most organizations due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and seek board members who can provide leadership in working with the staff to ensure the relevancy and sustainability of our programs.
