Responsibilities: Convene a diverse group of stakeholders that are familiar with the local issues and resources in Northern Kentucky and are invested in United Way as a partner through giving, advocating and/or volunteering. Develop and implement strategies in Northern Kentucky that contribute to the regional Bold Goals in the areas of Education, Income and Health. Understand and support United Way's regional plan and determine where local impact can occur in Northern Kentucky to align efforts and influence regional progress. Approve funding and monitor results of United Way partner programs and initiatives. The Action Council has 20 members. Members can serve up to (4) two-year terms. The Action Council has 5 meetings per year. If a member misses 3 or more consecutive meetings, their continued membership will be evaluated. It is expected that Action Council members are ambassadors and advocates for United Way.
