The board meets quarterly. The board assist SHS is several key areas. The first is by running an annual “friends” campaign to help raise funds used for general operating support, thus keeping costs as low as possible for subscribing schools. Other ways the board assists is by helping with publicity, contacting area schools, and helping to identify deserving under-privileged schools to receive free programs. The board also provides general oversight of SHS finances and operations.
