The organization was renamed as the International Foundation for Contemporary Music in 2015, and in 2021, Brianna Matzke was appointed as the new President and CEO. The IFCM's mission is to support the creation, performance, and education of contemporary classical music around the world. In the beginning, this mission focused on producing the Cortona Sessions for New Music, which has evolved into one of the world's premiere summer training festivals for contemporary classical music. In the years since, the IFCM's mission expanded to supporting projects from a variety of performers and composers. The IFCM is overseen by a Board of Directors, which includes an Executive Committee made up of a President, Secretary, and Treasurer. We are currently rebuilding the Board, so opportunities for Vice Presidential positions may emerge throughout the rebuilding process. We also work with an Advisory Board made up of musicians and other individuals committed to the IFCM's mission.
