Formatted Board Requirements Visual Text Board Requirements Candidates for the Cincinnati Boychoir’s Board of Trustees must apply and be reviewed and approved by the board. Trustees may serve two three-year terms based on the interest of the individual. A third and subsequent term renewal must be approved by the board. All trustees must complete and sign an annual board commitment, conflict of interest statement, and board pledge form. All trustees are expected to attend and actively participate in monthly meetings, as well as actively serve on at least one board committee. Trustees are expected to make a monetary donation to the Cincinnati Boychoir annually for the duration of their board service. There is no minimum donation required, although the amount of the donation should be significant to the individual making the contribution. Although not required, it is encouraged that our board members participate in Boychoir activities, such as attending rehearsals and/or performances, participating and inviting guests to our events, and actively promoting the organization in the community. Formatted Onboarding Visual Text Onboarding Prospective candidates will meet with the Board Chair and Executive Director for an introduction to the organization and to answer any questions. If there is mutual interest in pursuing board membership, the candidate may attend and observe a regular meeting, if desired. Additional meetings may be arranged with other organizational stakeholders as needed/desired. A formal application must be submitted to be considered as a trustee. The board will review and approve applications at regular meetings, as applicable. Once approved, the new trustee will be paired up with a current board member as a mentor in their first year on the board. Incoming trustees will receive access to an online board resource folder, which includes organizational information such as by-laws, a directory, a calendar of events, committee assignments, and meeting reports and other relevant documents.
