We seek a Board that represents our entire county in terms of age, gender, race, residence location, workplace and skill set. The purpose of our Board is two-fold - obviously the Board has an obligation to oversee the finances and the work of the agency. They also are our ambassadors throughout the community in terms of raising funds and giving us access to groups of potential mentors that we can recruit. We have a 3 year Strategic Plan and work hard to achieve our goals. Formatted Board Requirements Visual Text Board Requirements Board members are required to attend all (5) Board meetings that are on the fourth Thursday of the month, Jan, March, May, Aug, Oct. Each Board member is assigned to a committee of their choice which usually entails a monthly meeting. Participation in fundraising, especially special events, is highly encouraged. Unless it is a special circumstance, Board members usually live and/or work in Butler County. They are then processed by the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee. If all looks positive then they are nominated and the next meeting.
